Hi, I'm Sherisse'. I used to work a 9-5 at a marketing agency—commuting, clocking in, dreaming about having time to cook a real meal. Cooking was my escape. Late nights in the kitchen made my small apartment smell like home, even when I barely had time to enjoy it.

When COVID hit and I started freelancing full-time, I finally had space to really cook, really create. Then I got pregnant. Cooking took a backseat to survival mode—morning sickness, exhaustion, and a beautiful newborn who wanted to be held constantly. That first year was a blur of baby-wearing while stirring pasta and eating whatever was fastest.

But once my son became more independent, something shifted. The itch came back. I started craving that creative outlet, that grounded feeling of making something truly nourishing. Not just meals to get through the day, but food that made us slow down and savor the moment together.

That's when Home & Fed was really born—and then one day, I stopped treating my dream like a side project.

I learned to cook from my mother and grandmothers, women who understood that the best meals aren't the fanciest ones—they're the ones that make people feel safe and at home. I'm a freelance marketer, SAHM, and recovering perfectionist who's learned that the most important thing isn't a pristine kitchen—it's feeding the people you love.

When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll find me chasing my toddler, working on client projects, or planning our next family adventure.
